DUCK'S CLASSIC MTV TRADING SITE

Latest news! (August 9, 2006) After moving to our new house over two years ago, I temporarily lost the tapes below. However, I've recently found most of them, so I'm now beginning the process of sorting out what I have, and transferring the tapes to DVD. I now only will make DVD copies instead of VHS copies. And I still prefer trades for original MTV programming instead of blank DVDs, but I sometimes make exceptions. This may revert back to my "no trade for blanks" policy if I get too many requests, or if I change my mind. Sorry! But feel free to email me nonetheless.
What can I say about the "golden years" of MTV? From it's inception in
the fall of 1981 to approximately 1986, MTV was truly a groundbreaking experience.
This site is intended for those who want to trade any footage they may have of MTV during
those years, as well as for those who want to view this material. Please
note that I TRADE rather than sell tapes. Click here
for my tape trading policy.
What follows below are videotapes which I have collected via trades over the last few
years. Please note that because most of these were obtained in trades, they are not
necessarily the best quality, and I have no idea what generation dub they are. But
if you as big a fan of the good old days of MTV (when they actually played videos), you
won't mind less than stellar video and audio quality. Just seeing these tapes, along
with the original MTV VJ's (Alan, Martha, JJ, Nina and Mark), will make you long for the
days of your youth. And seeing all those old Atari videogame commercials is a nice
touch, too!
Special thanks go out to all of those who have traded with me in the past to provide me
with this programming. Without you guys, I wouldn't have nearly as much footage and
therefore would not be able to relive these memories anytime I want to. THANK
YOU!
Check out the links below to view the contents of each tape that I have available for
trade. ALL of my tapes were recorded from MTV with original commercials, although,
as I said before, the quality varies from tape to tape.
Enjoy!
